Board of Directors
of Pecos Valley Medical Center |

Organizational Structure
Because PVMC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), it receives federal and state funding to subsidize care, ensuring that medical and dental care are available and accessible to all that need it, regardless of the ability to pay. For this reason, PVMC has patients accessing a variety of payment methods, including self pay, insurance with or without co-pay or deductible, Medicare, Medicaid, and Sliding Fee scale which is a means-tested reduction from 20% – 100% on charges for services tied to the Federal Poverty Level set by Congress each year.
Board of Directors
As an FQHC and a not-for-profit organization, PVMC is governed by a community-based Board of Directors, at least 51% of whom are patients of the clinic and regular users of its services. This requirement ensures that the Board has first hand information on the quality and scope of services provided, and that services are those needed in the communities it serves. The Board is responsible for policy and oversight ensuring the fiscal integrity of the Center, hours of service, and the hiring and supervision of the Executive Director.
